SACA Development Corporation (SACADC)

SACADC, a subsidiary of the Spanish American Civic Association, is a non-profit community development organization dedicated to providing affordable rental and owner occupied housing and promoting neighborhood revitalization for low and moderate-income families.

Created in 1984, SACADC focuses on the purchase and rehabilitation of blighted and vacant family homes.  Most of SACADC's efforts are concentrated in the southeast quadrant of the City of Lancaster.  Here, approximately 63% of the housing units are tenant versus homeowner occupied, with many buildings in a state of disrepair.  Each year, a significant number of such properties are rehabilitated by SACADC and returned to the market as affordable homes.
