vulnerable citizens, the Senior Center provides socialization and
nutritional services to Latino elderly. SACA offers an array of
services to both enhance the quality of life for our seniors and help
them maintain their independence.
Meals
SACA serves daily breakfast and lunch to
senior citizens and the homeless. Our kitchen offers a nutritious
meal to people who otherwise would not eat and a welcoming atmosphere
to those in need.
Employment Desk
The Employment Desk is a key link between
persons willing to work and upgrade their jobs and employers that need
a reliable labor force.
Case Management
Through information and referral,
translation, interpreter services, housing assistance, food assistance,
and legal advocacy, the Case Management Desk becomes a chief advocate
for families and individuals at risk.
HIV/AIDS & HepC Services
The program provides free and confidential counseling and testing services as well as outreach and case management services.
Career Development & Training, and Adult Education
This program concentrates on imprioving
language skills at every step, in the context of createing employment
opportunities and not as a separate learning activity. It is
readily accessible for people with issues such as transportation,
language, culture, and with the intangible need to be understood and
appreciated. These services complement the Lancaster CareerLink's
Workforce Readiness System, which is an integrated system of
assessment, skill training, placement, and case management -- all
designed to develop a better qualified and credentialed job-candidate.
